Ameen Jan is the Founder and CEO of EDeQUAL. EDeQUAL offers high quality instructional content, organised according to Pakistan National Curriculum and leading international curricula, via a highly scalable technology platform and delivery method. EDeQUAL’s turnkey and customised blended learning solutions enable schools to effectively implement technology-enabled learning with the assurance of results for their students. Leading schools in Pakistan use EDeQUAL to support their students’ learning needs. Ameen has over twenty years’ experience as a management consultant and strategy advisor to governments and private sector companies in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia. He has advised government and corporate clients on policy, strategy and execution in emerging markets in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and Central America. He has successfully spearheaded market entry of a multinational consumer goods company into Pakistan, establishing it as a leading brand in the market within two years. Prior to establishing EDeQUAL, Ameen served as a senior advisor at the UK Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit, where he led groundbreaking policy and strategy work on managing international instability. Before that he worked with McKinsey & Company in London, advising corporate clients across a range of industry sectors. Ameen has also worked as an advisor at the United Nations in New York and in Africa. He holds an MBA from Stanford University, an MA in International Affairs from Tufts University, and a BA in Public Policy from Princeton University.


Ayaz ul Haque has 20 years’ investment banking / private equity / venture capital experience with an emerging market focus. Ayaz has invested in and/or sat on the board of around 30 companies across the globe. He currently serves as Managing Director of Exalt Capital Partners, a Silicon Valley venture fund. Previously, Ayaz was Managing Director at ePlanet Ventures (Silicon Valley), a global venture capital specialist in cross-border migration of technology where he developed the MENA and India franchises. He also served as Director of global venture capital at Draper Fisher Jurvetson ePlanet Ventures. Prior to that, Ayaz worked at Bear, Stearns & Co. (New York) on emerging markets corporate finance; at Peregrine Investment Holdings (Bahrain and Hong Kong) focusing on Asian private equity investments; at Crosby Financial Holdings (London and Singapore) on M&A advisory in India, Korea, Thailand. He has a strong reputation in Silicon Valley for advising emerging and growth stage companies in relation to business model enhancement , capital raising and strategy, international business development including strategic alliances and joint ventures, and operational efficiency. Ayaz graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Middlebury College holding a B.A. in Economics.


Salman Chaudhary has over 20 years of experience, with senior leadership roles in consulting and technology firms and a successful track record of starting and growing businesses in North America, Europe, and Asia. Salman has been an early employee at three very successful software and technology services firms. Most recently he served as Managing Director for EMEA and APAC at InQuira Inc, which was successfully acquired by Oracle Systems in 2011, and continued in this role at Oracle Systems until 2012. Prior to InQuira, Salman was EVP at OpenCrowd, a New York based firm that provides strategy and development services leveraging open source software solutions. Salman was Managing Director at Scient/SBI (currently LBi) in London, where he started up Scient’s European business and headed up its European Financial Services business unit. Prior to that, Salman was an early hire at Cambridge Technology Partners, where he held various leadership positions, including Group Manager of the Capital Markets Group in New York and the Financial Services Group in London, both of which he also founded. Salman holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Ameen guides EDeQUAL's team of technology and content developers, develops partnerships for EDeQUAL with key players in Pakistan's education ecosystem, and ensures that EDeQUAL continuously delivers results to improve teacher performance and student learning outcomes.

Anoshia Mubarak

Content Developer

Anoshia develops our Science course materials for primary and secondary grades. She also designs, develops and manages scaffolded assessments for both Math and Science courses.

Fatima Zia

Content Developer & Teacher

Fatima develops instructional content for EDeQUAL’s Pakistan National Curriculum aligned courses in Math and Science, and oversees implementation of our blended learning method including training teachers.

Farhat Shah

e-learning Content Developer and Graphic Designer

Farhat designs and produces our high quality interactive learning materials. He also supports other functions with his graphic design skills.

Mehran Khan

e-learning Instructional Designer

Mehran leads the design and implementation of interactive learning objects for our Math courses.

Rizwan Ansari

Data Operations

Rizwan manages the data back-end of EDeQUAL, with continuously updated assessments and instructional materials.

Saad Saleem M

Technology Lead

Saad designs and manages EDeQUAL’s technology back-end systems including our learning management system (MyEDeQUAL) and supporting functionality that enables us to be accessible, secure and scalable.
